Hi Love,

We are writing you in regards to invite you to join our newfound “Freedom not Peace” class. The idea to just come together and create this space came after multiple failed attempts to ask the university to create it for us. Being a self determined group within the university sounded like the best idea. So with no funds and a fire of radicalism we want you to join us in this journey. The idea is to be in a class with peers whom share the same radicalism and political consciousness towards art making that we can actually respect. No amount of liberalism will be accepted in the class. The middle path has long been deserted, so we want to use this momentum to create a community of radicals that support each other and their practices in more ways than one. Our vision is to create a class that has critiques, discussions, readings, trips and collaborations that uses a lens of no bullshit, intersectional, AuDHD, witty yet completely serious approach to art and the world around us (meaning politics). We want to inform ourselves on history and project onto the future our visions of not utopia but best of all possible worlds. We want to study violence and resistance. We appreciate self determination and comradely. This primarily BIPOC and allies focused class can hopefully become a space where we continue the movement in a more interpersonal way. We aim to support each other on our journey of poetic politics and to distrupt “the way things are supposed to be.” Im so tired of the racist brain-rot of this fucked institution of white colonial fantasies so let’s try something else and steal as much as we can from the gutters of this disappointment of a building.

With Love and Solidarity
Freedom not Peace
